With the equivalent of 3 BILLION individual trips being taken by the over the Chinese New Year period, this is the best time of the year to stay put in the city and enjoy the Pearl of the East without the masses and traffic congestion.

So what is happening in Shanghai over the next week?

For tennis couch potatoes catch all the action at the Camel from the first serve at 8am till the last smash after midnight in the Australian Open. If you feel like flexing those muscles why not take your racquet and ball out to Shanghai Racquet Club and have a swing with their members and try to mimic your fa­vourite players, then reward yourself with your favourite Aussie brew from their kiosk.
